Mentally Preparing to Practice

What constitutes practice? What is good practice vs poor practice? The act of practice itself is a skill that can be learned and improved upon. This pack, presented by Lance Ruby, is a primer for guitar practice: mental preparation, setting short-term and long-term goals, repetition, creative exploration, and beyond. You’ll learn when to focus on something and when to move on. Plus, you’ll get a full sample practice plan so that you can see what a quality practice session really looks like.

A super interesting, helpful, and well-structured course. One of those rare cases where you don’t even touch your guitar the whole time — and yet the benefit to your playing is huge! In short, this course teaches you how to build a practice routine, gives tons of tips to make your practice more efficient, and helps you finally focus on actually *playing* guitar instead of wasting time on stuff that doesn’t really move you forward.

How not to lose time while practicing

A very good course to build a systematic and conscious practicing routine instead of endless guitar noodling. It teaches to organize your practice session in four parts: warmup, learning, repeating, creativity.
