Fareed Haque
Guitar virtuoso and master educator Fareed Haque has worked with Sting, Dizzy Gillespie, Dave Holland, Joe Henderson, Joe Zawinul, Ramsey Lewis, Nigel Kennedy, Bob James, David Sanborn, many symphony orchestras and dozens of other well-known artists. He's performed all of the major guitar concertos and has had numerous modern works dedicated to him. Fareed currently holds an associate professorship in jazz and classical guitar studies at Northern Illinois University, tours extensively with his jam super-group, Garaj Mahal and has released nine recordings as a leader in various configurations.

Great Teacher
Big fan of his music, career and style of playing. The Tall & Tan lesson in Bossa Nova was so easy to master and it was fun to learn. The Jazz Comping lessons are great too.

Impressive
I´m really not Know his work when I´m buy "jazz comping survive guide" and I´m really impressed with his easy way to explain and ways to drive us for another stage. His language and sound on guitar is very impressive. I´m very happy for getting to know his work and his couses.

True Professor
I realize that many of the educators on TrueFire teach at the college level, but Fareed Haque stands out as a veteran lecturer. He simply has his material down. I watched his Solo Guitar Handbook and am blown away. Like my professors in music school, he starts so basic it seems silly, but within minutes he is applying concepts that he has explained clearly and adding complexity. In 30 minutes I had ideas I could apply. In an hour I couldn't wait to re-watch. The course is longer and after taking Amazing Grace to amazing heights, he gives several more examples which he simply introduces and plays. Plenty of material to keep me busy. I already have a list of melodies I will be applying his concepts to after studying his examples. Really solid, as good as any professor of any subject that I have had.

Gifted Educator and player
Hi, Fareed Haque is one of the first educators I found in Truefire. Besides the fact that he is a superb guitar player, he is also a gifted and talented educator and teacher. Fareed has the capability of simplify explanations, so now I can look at the fretboard in a different way. For example, until I purchased his courses ( I have bought 4), I tried to memorize chord shapes. Thanks to Fareed approach, I play different now. I freed my memory for other things. Also my comping is different because I can focus only in chord tones and not in the complete chord. I would like Fareed could give private lessons in Truefire, like other educators.
