The 5 Tenets of Mastery
In this lesson I'd like to introduce you to my philosophy on how to optimize practicing. Let's focus on the following five tenets of skill acquisition which I will break down for you in detail.
A Little Bit Country
Now I wanna break down for you a country style kind of blues routine that's gonna give you a little bit of that twangy kind of attitude. First I'll show you the core elements of what I'm visualizing as I'm playing through this routine. The main thing for me is always the chords, because that's going to guide what scale positions I use, and also reveals a lot of. I'll kick things off with a performance and then I'll break it all down for your in detail. Let's get started!

Funkified Blues
This next routine is called Funkified Blues. In the key of E, we're gonna be utilizing a lot of the same concepts, dominant seventh chords and blue scales, but in some different positions. I'll kick things off with a performance then we'll jump into a detailed breakdown.

Good

I really learned many useful tips and tricks when playing chords combined with melodies. With a bit of work, this can be applied to any chord progression, and it enhanced my guitar playing alot. The lesson itself could use some more information and some love, listening to the customer reviews in the comments below each video. Sometimes I'ts not clearly visible which strings are plucked by fingers and which by guitar pick, and there the tabs are sometimes off, wich does not help. Teacher & Lesson 5/5 Presentation 4/5 I did the whole course and plan to immediately start with the second one

I have purchased all 3 of Rob Swift's lessons (Blues Volumes 1 and 2 and the Acoustic lesson). He does a great job. The Tab and the layout running during the lessons are great too. These lessons are excellent for solo artists that just need a little extra pazzaz when doing the lead parts without letting go of the chords!
