The Journey of a Musical Life
Here are 12 points that have helped me in my musical journey. If you apply these core ideas, you'll get very far! Some of those seem easy, but they'll take you to the next level.
Themes & Intuitive Soloing
To me, soloing is more about editing than anything else. Some of the greatest solos are made with the fewest amount of notes and a ton of feel and expressiveness in exchange. In this next section of videos, we'll explore the C Major Scale through a variety of approaches for getting more from your solos with less effort.
Perfect Repetition
In this video, we look at ways to start building solos using the simple approach of repetition. Sometimes repeating a melodic line or riff is all you need to connect with the listener. It's an easy and effective way to get started soloing right now.
Change the Last Note
Just like the last approach, this one is super simple but super effective. Here, we're just going to focus on changing the last note of our core line which we tried repeating in the last exercise. Once you've established a theme with that repetition, all you need to do to bring the listener somewhere else is change the last note. Give it a try.
Omit Notes From the Line
In this concept, imagine you have your drawing and you just erase certain parts but we can still see the image. The silence helps what exists to be more present. Try to omit notes from the line - like an eraser!
Change the Starting Note
Here we'll still keep most of our core line intact but you'll change the first note. you can also try to change 2 notes, etc. The idea is that we have the core line in mind and we apply certain concepts to get more juice out of the cell of information.

Very clear !
After watching many of Rotem's clips on YouTube, I decided to buy this class. The concepts are very easy to use whatever your level is, the backing tracks are very high quality.

It truely is magic!
This course goes way beyond the scale/arpeggio method of soling, so I recommend you have those down before proceeding with this course. That being said, Rotem takes you through 40 concepts that once internalized will most certainly take your solos to the next level and let you truly express what you are feeling when improvising. Highly recommend for the intermediate to advanced player.
