I've learned a lot from this already!
This is a perfect course to master the Travis picking style. We all know that Mr Deeming was already given the guitar from the cradle. This is mainly a lesson package with theory and short exercises in teaching this technique. This is not for a starting player, you should definitely have mastered the basic chords before you start this. The many chords and banjo rolls that can be learned are a serious task to make the Travis fingerstyle sound your own for further progress in this course. It will take some time to master these fingerings but instructor Jim guides you through it very professionally. He has a very calm approach to guide you note by note and is open to repetitions with a slow tempo. This course is supposed to be more than 10 years old and I am glad that I was able to purchase this lesson package. The video images and angles are filmed very clearly to be able to follow these examples. With the virtuosity of this fantastic guitarist and teacher you can already come a long way. I'm not saying that everything he plays at the beginning of the course is shown on tablature. But the necessary chords and solo parts are clearly drawn in fretboard scheme. A must for the Country fingerpicking fanatic. Happy to have this!
