About this level

Level 1 establishes a solid foundation for confident, musical fingerstyle playing with

You’ll develop a relaxed right-hand technique, learn how to maintain a steady thumb bass, and layer in simple patterns, chords, and melodies so that everything feels connected and playable on real songs.

You’ll start by dialing in basic mechanics—hand position, plucking, rotation, and roll patterns—then move into steady and alternating bass, boom-chick feel, and core picking patterns.

Along the way, you’ll apply everything to short studies and approachable tunes, so technique never lives in a vacuum.
