Andy McKee is among the worlds finest acoustic guitarists. His youthful energy and attention to song structure and melodic content elevates him above the rest. He entertains both the eye and the ear as he magically transforms the steel string guitar into a full orchestra via his use of altered tunings, tapping, partial capos, percussive hits and a signature two-handed technique. McKees crossover success has helped him to achieve millions upon millions of YouTube viewers, underscoring his emergence as one of todays most unique and influential artists. His song, Drifiting became one of the first YouTube viral videos with almost 60 million views.. Incredible
What treat to have Andy Mckee walk you through his tunes and approach to music. Watching him perform can make his music seem unapproachable, but he is able to break it down section by section into digestible bits. One of my favorite guitarists, transforms the way I view the instrument.

Drifting!
Andy Mckee is an acoustic guitar god! i came to know about him after I heard his songs like Drifting, Rylynn but drifting being my favourite and most inspiring. His original music and the lessons were very inspiring, intuitive and most importantly encouraging. Making the most of this quarantine period all the lessons on truefire have been a boon for me to expand my musical boundaries and become a better musican. Hoping to see more, Thankyou so much!

As a Music Producer it was very important for me to focus on my guitar playing and develop my own sound. A few months ago I came across Andy's lessons on the Truefire YouTubechannel and I decided to start focusing on acoustic percussive playing seriously to explore. It helped me analyse the song, build different styles of grooves, incorporate different techniques, which was really helpful. Also Andy Mckees songs like Drifting, Rylynn, are one of my favourite songs! The lessons were really easy to follow, precise articulate and most importantly engaging. Hoping to see more lessons on truefire!

Andy is an extremely unique human
I met Andy on a few occasions. He was very down to earth and easy to talk to. I’ve spent countless hours trying to learn his music, and now I can fix some of the mistakes I had made when I initially learned the songs. I’m so happy Andy is apart of truefire.
