Redd Hot Licks

This a great Course I have seen him live in Austin a few times, and he his truly amazing love the way he play in and out of the key, Have always been a big fan of country guitar chicken pickin, pedal steel bends, banjo rolls, Redd really explains and demonstrates it great and always with a great sense of humor, Just like when he is on stage. I have both of his courses and if comes out with another I will certainly be buying that one You won't be disappointed

Redd Hot Licks I must know

Redd Volkaert provides some awesome pedal steel, chicken spittin n pickin licks from his legendary gigs with Merle Haggard's band The Strangers. But there's nothing strange about these licks. Many provide some very harmonic steel like solo intros or outros that, we are often looking for when building our own solos. For myself, I can often, in my mind, hear what I want to play but, just can't nail it exactly. Well thanks to Redd's Hot Licks I now have a reference manual to find or help with what I'm looking for. I especially enjoyed his sense of humour and no flash style. He adds variation to the licks, and will explains how it can be played a couple different ways. He also sets up the lick in explaining the chord progressions and where they will fit in. This was a great course to jump start me back to playin chicken pickin n spittin scratchin country tunes. It was down right fun, and you know, you just can't beat fun for a good time!
