On each track, Redd lays down a rhythm part from start to finish and then takes a couple of choruses worth of solos leaving choruses open for you to solo over as well. All in all, you’ll get a great idea of how he would approach a country jam situation.

The coolest thing about this is the ability to switch videos between Redd's rhythm and soloing performances as well as adjust the volume, mute or solo the parts. You can even remove Redd's rhythm or lead part, and you can play those. You can mute the bass or drums and play those parts. Singers, horn players, keyboard players -- you can all join in the jam, too!

Along with all the performance videos, Redd gives you commentary about the things he was listening for, my approaches, note choices, scale choices, things he's reacting to -- his overall concepts and guidelines. Theres gold in them hills !!!

This is a sampler box of skills and insight. lots of variety and all so much fun under the fingers. I’m a guitar player who thought it would be good to have some old style country/ Merle Haggard skills and experience. This course has helped me learn how to voice this style and give it a retro pro sound. Old Guns Like Redd are few and far between...
