Harmonization & Degrees
Let's go through the fundaments of melodic chordal shapes. I'll show you how to harmonize chord tones and use them as a base for your melodies and solos. If you do this on every scale degree, you get a set of different shapes. Each harmonization can be identified by the intervals between the chord tones. For instance, 5-6, meaning: take a note from a scale and stack a fifth and then a sixth on top of that note. Use only the notes from the specific scale you are in.
Fingerpicking Technique
Here I'll show you the different picking techniques I use with these melodic chordal shapes.
Triads, 7th's, 5-6 and 6-5
The first shapes we'll study are triads, 7th's and the intervals 5-6 and 6-5.
4-4, 5-5 and 8-8
Next up are the interval sets 4-4, 5-5 and 8-8.
7-5, 5-4 and 5-7
The last three sets of shapes we're using in this course are 7-5, 5-4 and 5-7.
Sunfullness
Here we are with the first lick of this course, where we'll focus on the melodic use of triads, sevenths and some of their inversions.

I think I like this guy from how he talks and plays right from the start....
I sort of already take my melodies from my chords, but he's going to help me improve that a lot, I can already tell!

The book is well structured and contains clear examples that continue to build up skills in logical progress. It presents all the elements needed to create melodic rock solos in argeggiated lines. Great teacher, I highly recommend this Course.

Very good course for my tastes.
Andrea your accent is very cool but more than that, the accents you play, your level of energy, speed and complexity are inspiring. I never feel like you are just trying to fill up the bars, everything seems charged, a bit magic and fits the progressions in a refreshing way, great dynamics and harmonic events popping out around every corner. So this goes into my favorites, it teaches a lot of useful ideas, but I also just enjoy listening to your playing..
