D Chord
In this lesson you will learn to make your first two chords. Chords are the basic building blocks of all music. The first is called "D major" and the second is called "A major." These chords are used in every kind of music imaginable and you can hear them in your favorite rock, rap, hip-hop, reggae, blues and country tunes.Spend time making sure that you get a good sound from each chord that you make on the guitar. Remember to click on the "PDF" button to download a helpful lesson about making chords.Let's jam! The remaining lessons include "jam tracks," or recordings of the music you hear in the video lessons. Using the jam tracks, you will be able to play along with a band. That's called jamming! In the videos, the jam tracks are played at a fast speed (or "tempo"), and at first it might be hard for you to play along at that speed. So most of these lessons offer the same track at a slower speed. Feel free to start with the slower jam tracks, and then try the fast tracks once you're more comfortable. Whether fast or slow, just click the links below to start jamming!
