Night and Day
Hi! I’m Frank Vignola and I’m here to teach you the song Night and Day. In this lesson we'll be looking at how to replicate the artists playing on this tune by tackling it in bite size pieces then bringing it all back together at the end. I'll also show you an easy guitar part so that you can strum along to the whole song if you're just getting started. Ready to learn Night and Day? Well grab your guitar and let’s get started!
Full Song Performance
We’ll be starting things off with a full performance of Night and Day where you will be able to see and hear the multiple different guitar styles you will be learning in the tune. Keep a close eye on the text on the screen as it will indicate the guitar track currently being played.
Easy Guitar | Lesson
In this video we'll be breaking Night and Day down into simple guitar chords and patterns that you can play, even if you're a beginner. Everything I'm going to show you here will work well with the accurate guitar parts so that you can play along with the full band. The first will be the easiest version then we'll jump into a second rendition that will add a few more pieces and bring you one step closer to the authentic guitar part. Once you feel comfortable with this easier version, I encourage you to try to tackle some of the more sophisticated techniques in the accurate guitar parts as this is a great way to improve your skills.
Easy Guitar | Practice Session
In this video we will be practicing the easy guitar for Night and Day. Remember to take advantage of tab-sync to ensure you're hitting the proper notes and, if you find the tune is a bit too fast for you, utilize the speed feature to slow things down, get your timing right, and then work your way up to the proper tempo.

An absolutely worthwhile course, well worth the price.
If you want to learn "Night and Day", this is a great place to start. Frank Vignola has broken the lesson into three sections. First 'easy guitar', the chords are very simplified, but it provides a great base to further develop. Second, the melody and lead improvisation, Frank stresses the need to really understand the melodic development, what's happening rhythmically. Next the "jazz" chords, a complete comping approach to play under a vocal line, and under an improvisation line. Frank simply and directly explains the how and the why. His teaching goes beyond the song, the techniques and suggestions can be applied to anything you might play. Ten out of ten.

Swinging Night And Day!
Another great song lesson from Frank Vignola and TrueFire. Cole Porter's 'Night And Day has a lovely melody, and is one of those standards that you have to know if you play jazz. Often played as a bossa nova, here it is presented as a medium tempo swing.
