Well worth your time

As a guitar player whose bass gets dusty between sporadic periods of dedicated practice, Larry Cook is my favorite bass teacher on TrueFire (check out his Americana on the bass course as well). Great approach, threads the needle in terms of appropriate level of detail in his explanations, and teaches me how to sound like a bass player when I am playing the bass rather than simply a noodling guitar player.

A trip down memory lane

Low key, relaxed & very enjoyable course. I'm in my 70s, an early intermediate guitarist & just learning bass, so a real treat to take a journey down memory lane, looking over Larry Cook’s shoulder following McCartney’s evolution as a bass player, recalling when I saw the Beatles on their Ed Sullivan debut “all those years ago”. I’ll be keeping my eye out for other Larry Cook courses.
