In The Jam: Robbie Calvo

If you have Robbie’s other courses, this helps put you into really fun territory as it glues them all together with bodacious jams. Check out his right hand: Spectacular guitar play, such smooth switching from picking to finger style. Thanks Robbie!

It's sounds so effortless!

Robbie is an outstanding player and teacher. It comes through in this In the Jam, which might be my favorite (I own 4). Robbie seems to structure this jam a little more toward the student than some of the others. He plays amazing parts, but his solos tend to be somewhat compact, after which he leaves room for you to solo. This is a useful approach if you're interested in trying to learn his solos, which is of course where a lot of learning will take place if you put in the effort. When doing your own soloing, the groove from the pro band is inspiring. These In the Jam's are not "backing tracks" like you'll find on the Internet - it's a case of getting what you pay for - these are amazing. Another thing about Robbie's music is it sounds so smooth it can trick you into thinking it might be easy to play. Ha! It's worth the effort though, just to incorporate a little bit of his style into your own.

My chop up lines

Robbie Calvo? Well I own a lot of his stuff. Why? Because when my line needs a chop or I need an angle of difference for an inro or tag I find him to be the most useful. His approach particularly Dorian works for me , give me this hypnotic flavor. Many a Gary Moore song has Robbie's flavors through them. Im asked often what second line I was playing. It usually Calvo's stuff...Enjoy the invetigation.

Great to Learn, Explore, and Jam

These jam tracks are very approachable for a beginner as well as a seasoned player. The tempos and feel allow you to explore both slow, melodic lines and fast, gritty blues and rock. Robbie is also an excellent teacher and encourager. When lost in the moment, I really felt like I was jamming along side the band. I recommend plugging your computer right into the TV with HDMI and use a surround sound system. I also highly recommend Robbie's courses on modes and power play, which ties back very well to these jams.
