In this TrueHeart Blues edition of In The Jam, Kirk Fletcher plays both the rhythm and soloing guitar parts across 10 slow blues, Chicago blues, and minor blues multi-track video jams in a variety of feels, tempos, and keys typically encountered at any blues jam session. On each track, Kirk lays down a rhythm part from start to finish and then takes a couple of choruses worth of solos leaving choruses open for you to solo over as well.
"In this edition, I’ve put together 10 backing tracks that represent the range of feels that I play at my own shows.
We’ll jam together over some gospel progressions, classic rock and roll, a funky sharp nine vamp, Chicago style shuffles, slow blues, minor blues, and more in a variety of keys and tempos. Whatever your instrument - guitar, bass, drums, horns… no matter what you play, we’ll have a great time jamming together.
You’ll be able to adjust the volume, mute or solo the tracks. You can mute my rhythm part OR my lead part, and you can play those. You can also mute the bass or drums and play those parts. Singers, horn players, keyboard players, you can all join in the jam!"
The coolest thing about this is the ability to switch videos between Kirk's rhythm and lead performances as well as adjust the volume, mute or solo the parts. You can even remove Kirk's rhythm or lead part, and you can play those. You can mute the bass or drums and play those parts. Singers, horn players, keyboard players -- you can all join in the jam, too!
Along with all the performance videos, Kirk gives you commentary about the things he was listening for, his approaches, note choices, scale choices, things he's reacting to -- his overall concepts and guidelines.
Lead sheets are included for all of the tracks, and you’ll also get all the video, tab, and notation for both the rhythm and lead guitar parts.
Practice smart, play hard — get In The Jam with Kirk Fletcher!

Kurt Fletcher - In The Jam
In The Jam is a great format and is perfect for Kurt Fletcher's style of
explanation... But I just wish there could be PDF's of his chord changes
for me to print out and follow. I'd like to see my friend Keith Wyatt (
you know him...) in that format too, he'd be great...!!!
"In The Jam" should be expanded... It's good, very good...!
