Brad Carlton and TrueFire have put together an extremely valuable and extensive series of lessons (spread over 4 volumes) examining the concept of chord scales - one of the most useful tools for generating harmonic and melodic ideas. This is challenging material, and as always Brad goes very deeply into the subject material - but the knowledge gained will really elevate the level of your guitar playing. Great stuff!

Fantastic course for unusual chord voicings!

This course focused a lot on the individual pieces of each chord, rather than just, "Hey, here's this chord. It's this, this, this, this. You can only play it that way." I LOVE that. A teacher shouldn't teach someone how to exactly copy something, but instead to make your own voice out of the lesson. There's a ton of Eric Johnson-y chord voicings that I absolutely love throughout each lesson, so if you like slightly outside of the box chord voicings, some being majestically glorious, others being hauntingly beautiful, I HIGHLY recommend this. Some very sweet stuff that you don't see often.
