Walter Broes was born in Brussels, got hooked on his father's Blues and Rock and Roll records at a very early age and got sucked into the 80's Roots rock revival in a big way. Walter made his first record at age 17, writing, singing and playing guitar. He has been in various Blues and Rockabilly bands and was the leader/singer/songwriter/guitarist in Belgian Roots Rock band "The Seatsniffers". They made seven records and toured all over Europe for over 15 years. Broes has played with Wanda Jackson, Barrence Whitfield, Mike Sanchez and Jason Ringenberg, produced various records from Honky Tonk country to Blues Rock with most stops in between and has taught guitar off and on for years. A self-professed guitar geek, Walter Broes has a deep love for American Roots music styles and feels equally at home with a hypnotic Bo Diddley groove as with a stuttering Rockabilly rockabilly record. His guitar style as well as his record collection focuses mostly on music made before he was born, encompassing Rockabilly, Country, Blues and Rock and Roll, with some of the New Wave angst of his own generation thrown in for good measure.
