Excellent guitar methods. I was stuck for more than 20 years between pentatonic scales until started learning Roberts licks.
Robert Renman
Although from Sweden, Robert is now living in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. Born in 1969 in Umeå, Västerbotten, he grew up in a small town called Hörnefors, 30 km south of Umeå. He's been playing guitar since he was about 13 years old.
Robert started out playing blues and heavier rock, but turned towards L.A. pop-rock music in his later teen years. Eventually he returned to his blues roots, but he also discovered jazz and fusion. Tribal Tech and Chick Corea Electric Band were huge influences for him, as well as Weather Report, Miles Davis and all the jazz from the 50s and 60s. After he moved to Canada in 1999, he has also been influenced by country guitar players such as Albert Lee and Brent Mason, and by listening more to song writers such as John Hiatt and Joni Mitchell.
An avid teacher, Robert won TrueFire's Next Top Guitar Instructor Competition in 2013.

An extraordinary guitarist
Robert is a fantastic guitarist who has a style to admire, the knowledge that he has and that you can be guided by makes him also a great educator, making him a highly recommended guitarist because the content he shows you is well planned and structured. His way of explaining each concept and giving you certain tips generates a continuous learning, informative and useful to be able to increase your skills with the instrument. Totally a master of the blues.

Great guitar skills
Great master of the blues, the sound of his licks transmits a feeling that is difficult to replicate, he has great skills on the guitar. Having the chance to learn from a master like Robert Renman is an opportunity not to be missed. Excellent licks and phrasing make his music incredible to listen to. The guitar lessons are easy to understand, which in the end helps you to keep improving to the next level.

Solid!
I was aware of Robert Renman via other Internet sites before he came on board Truefire, so I've known about his stellar blues chops for some time. Now it's nice to see him put his blues wisdom into a Truefire course. Very deliberate instructor, you can tell that he's only interested in getting to the point.

Taking your blues to the next level.
As a late beginner in blues guitar you just need educators like Robert Renman to lead your guitar playing to the next level. I just hope I did that. His course Blues Booster is a must as far as I'm concerned. His way of teaching is just flawless. Informative, interesting, useful, easy and simple. Robert is the blues giant.
