Mark Kroos

Mark Kroos plays 2 guitar necks at the same time. His primarily instrumental style is characterized by open harmonies, polyphonic textures, and incredible tapping technique, while also being entertaining to watch and listen to. His live performances are bursting with energy and magnetism not typical of solo guitar music. Drawing influence from Folk, Celtic, Indie, and even Punk Rock as well as taking inspiration from other great guitarists such as Michael Hedges, Phil Keaggy, Tommy Emmanuel, and Leo Kottke, Mark Kroos has developed his own edge to the acoustic guitar.

Phenomenal person, player, teacher

Mark is an inspiration!! His compositions inspired a piece I wrote to perform for my senior recital for music school. He is an incredible teacher and speaker, well thought out and clear technique break downs. I can say with confidence that his courses will be well worth your time and effort!! He is and inspiration to me and I am sure he will be for you too!!

The best lessons I've taken

Mark is hands-down the best guitar teacher I've had the pleasure learning from. Though his unique style is complex, I was amazed at how quickly I was able to pick it up, which was in no small part due to Mark's amazing ability to communicate musical theory and technique in accessible ways and a genuine passion to share his gifts. Do yourself a favor and take these lessons. Your music will be turning heads in no time.

Awesome Teacher and Musician

I've been following Mark for years now and when I heard he had a course I was really excited. I didn't realize he had seven. The Practice Plan is the one I did and it helped a lot with my frustrations on learning the two handed techniques and handling multiple parts. Turns out I just had to SLOW DOWN!
