Thanks Jim
Jim has carved out a path I haven't seen any other guitarist take on so fluently. Unique rhythm, phrasing tone and Music that will last is what I believe he's creating.

An Essential Lesson Package.
Jim Oblon is a musican's musican. Oblon is steeped in percussion, perhaps as anyone can be. He has been Pual Simon's drummer for 12 years so when he enters the world of Southeast Asian polyrythyms in this course, you are being privied to not only a rythmic world that is often overlook by many guitarists, but is also a topic that is overlooked in most tutorials: timing. These exercises will keep even advanced guitarists busy for years. Oblon is also, im my opinion, one of the best country blues guitars ever. And while he can play blazing fast runs, which TrueFire unpacks for you using close-up video, transcriptions, and slow-mo video, he also is a melodic player that lets music simmer and breathe. Oblon takes you through some of his signature licks and chords and shows you how to apply them in live situations in a way that is generative and allows you to incorporate them as your own. He also drops some of his personal rules that he has established for playing over each of the 3 main blues chords so that again, you can utilize as your own. There is a lot in this video so you will easily get more out of the video than what you paid for it!

Brilliant
I’ve seen enough...I must have this lesson set. Thank you Mr Oblon...once in a while, something speaks to me and this time, oddly,it is a unique voice over familiar ground. The blues is fertile ground and a great vehicle for instruction, even if you aren’t a bluesman. The polyrhythms exercise is mind expanding...how else can you get rhythmic displacement in your phrasing? I already do,but now I can go deeper.
