Greg Martin

Greg Martin is a master of homecooked Southern-style Rock, Blues, Country and Rockabilly guitar. Along with his band, The Kentucky HeadHunters, he has helped reshape the face of country music. To date the HeadHunters have released six albums, winning countless awards and Grammies. In 1992, Greg Martin filled in for injured Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist, Ed King. The HeadHunters have also collaborated with the great Johnnie Johnson on a stellar rockin’ blues CD “That’ll Work!”. Johnnie was inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame this year by Rolling Stone’s Keith Richards. Greg also released a Gospel Blues CD with former Wet Willie singer, Jimmy Hall, entitled “The Revelators”.

A fantastic guitarist

A guitarist with a great experience with the guitar that is totally worthy of recognition, the style he has is spectacular and distinguishable, the knowledge he has creates a great variety of where you can learn and seek to improve your level. Greg's style of playing is reminiscent of great guitarists and bands such as ZZ Top, whose songs I personally like very much. The content that you can learn with Greg is very recommendable because he has a variety of material that you can see.

Pure Experience and Feeling

Greg Martin is a wonderful guitarist who manages to show a great feeling and quality on the guitar, making amazing creations ranging from improvisations with great feeling to the use of the slide that is admirable, being an element that adds a great sound in the songs. As an instructor he is quite good because he has skills and knowledge to teach, the licks that you can learn help you grow in skill, plus if you want to learn to use the slide is a good place to find lessons.

Excellent Blues with downhome Feel

I've had this lesson for quite a while and its a never ending ocean of great licks. I can say Gregs lesson has opened my playing up hugely. Its presented with easy understanding but it's not just a beginners series, Yes a beginner will reap huge benefits from this but also a well seasoned player as well will have his creative juices flowing. I am hoping Greg does another soon as he's a great player and now teacher as well. Get this lesson you wont regret it even if blues aint your thing this will take your playing farther than just blues. Did I say I hope he does another??
