THE REAL DEAL!!!

Years ago I made a transition from a straight blues player to a jazz guitarist using Les' books "Inner Jazz" and his "Jazz" multi-tape set paving the way. Years later, after being forced to stop performing professionally due to a health issue that left me with limited dexterity and some cognitive challenges, I was fortunate enough to start "re-learning/re-training" myself to play something other than rudimentary blues-rock and popular music gigs. I happened to find Les on Truefire and signed up for the Fretboard Freedom Fighter course to help get my brain and fingers reacquainted. Les took the time the correspond with me and was beyond encouraging. I've taught at the university level and can attest that he is the consummate teacher. He's knowledgeable, motivational, and able to zero in on the challenges of the individual student. I cannot recommend him (or any of his instructional material) highly enough. By the way, I believe "Inner Jazz" is now published as "Jazz Improvisation For Guitar" and the set as "Jazz Solos For Guitar." Between those, the "Joe Pass Guitar Style", "The Jazz Guitar Soloist (Ron Eschete)", and Pat Martino's "Linear Expressions", you can learn a tremendous amount!
