About this course
You’ll learn how to play 5 Classic Rock hits in this first volume of Easy Guitar SongPack taught by Christopher Galen.
2. Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival
3. Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton
4. Wild Night by Van Morrison
5. Four Strong Winds by Neil Young
All 5 songs can be played with 3 simple strumming patterns and the same 5 chords: G, C, D, E minor, and A minor. 2 of the songs are played with only 3 of those chords (G, C & D) and the other 2 are played with 4 chords (G, C, D and one of the minor chords).
In the first section of the SongPack, Chris teaches you the easiest way to play the chords and strumming patterns. Each of the songs is presented in 4 segments; Song Overview, Song Performance, Song Breakdown, and Playalong with the Band.
The playalongs are what makes Easy Guitar SongPack truly special. The playalongs have backing tracks with drums, bass, and vocals to give you a real-world musical context. Not only does this make the learning experience a lot more enjoyable, but it also prepares you for playing songs with other musicians.
You’ll have all of TrueFire’s learning tools at your fingertips to loop or slow down the video lessons so you can learn at your own pace. Plus, the tab and chord charts are synced to the video for the optimal learning experience!

Before we delve into playing the songs, there are a few things I'd like to cover with you. First and foremost, let's go over the chords we'll be using throughout this pack. As the title suggests, we've simplified things and will be using only five chords that will work for all of the songs.
Alright, let's discuss the strumming technique we'll be using for these five songs. First, I'll go over the down and up patterns we'll use, but I also want to share my general philosophy on strumming.
Alright, let's get started with learning "Already Gone" by the Eagles. As mentioned before, this song was originally featured on their 1974 album "On the Border," with Glen Fry on lead vocals and impressive guitar and harmony parts. Today, we'll be teaching you an easy version of this song that you can play by yourself and practice along with the provided backing track.
To begin, we'll start with a performance of the song, followed by a detailed breakdown of each component. So, let's get started!

Now, let's break down the different parts of "Already Gone" and take a closer look at the chord progressions. One unique aspect of this song is that the verse and chorus share the same chordal structure, making it easy to follow and repeat the pattern throughout the entire song.
Now, let's give "Already Gone" another go, this time playing along with the backing track. Let's see how well we can apply what we've learned and play it in sync with the band. Are you ready? Let's do it!

Doing is learning….
Songs are they most requested student “want to learn” item… packs like this are therefore very useful, if not most useful, adjunct to “almost any other teaching exercises”. IMHO👍

Great Help
I was introduced to Truefire by my guitar teacher. I have purchased a few programs and they all have great. Being an older beginner I need all the help I can get. The lessons and songs are presented in a manner that is easy to follow. The prices are good also,
