A fresh approach to triads, chord construction and fretboard knowledge

This course was on sale recently, I’m glad I didn’t pass this one over. The course provides insight in triads and chord construction, as well as fretboard knowledge. Highly recommend this course as the instructor is very knowledgeable with a fresh approach pertaining to the course material.

Great Course

I first heard about Dan Gilbert in an interview he did with Shane Theriot of Daryl Hall's band (also a Truefire instructor). Shane studied with Dan at MIT and held him in the highest regard as a player and teacher. In this extensive course, Dan covers a lot of ground from the basics to more advanced improvisational techniques and it's only $5!! You won't find a better bargain on Truefire or anywhere else, and I guarantee you will learn a lot from this course even if you are an advanced player.

Finally!!

Excellent course and my first review here! Bit '90 vibes but I don't mind ;-) Finally a course that really leaves you with the filling that you ticked off all the important basis to be able to improvise in blues. The structure is perfect. Good exercises mixed with practices how to create music. I was struggling to structure my knowledge and being able to use it to create nice music / melodies. Gilbert helped a bunch towards my goal! Big thanks!

A Musical Approach!

Some approaches to the teaching of improvisation can be a little 'dry' and unmusical, but Daniel Gilbert keeps things interesting and very musical in this excellent lesson series. Great stuff!
