Rock Guitar Power Tools

About this course

Paul Gilbert’s’ Rock Guitar Power Tools features one of the most popular series of video lessons from his top-ranked curriculum on ArtistWorks (our sister TrueFire Studios company).

This cherrypicked collection of lessons has been enhanced with all of TrueFire’s interactive learning tools including video-sync tab, looping, slow-mo, animated fretboards and many other handy controls. Now available “anytime, anywhere, on any device” for download and streaming!

”For this course, I selected 22 Power Tools, from my ArtistWorks Rock Guitar course. Not just licks, and not just techniques — Power Tools are creative and expressive approaches that you can use to liven up any of your licks and make your rock solos and improvisations really stand out.

For each the 22 Power Tools, I’ll play a lick or solo section using that Tool (feel free to “borrow” any of the licks you like). I’ll then break it down to explain the approach and techniques used in my performance example.

We’ve synced the video lessons to the tab and notation. And you can loop or slow down the lessons to make it easier. So, I know you're gonna get these working. That’s what’s most important. Get these working, work 'em into your own plane. And, have the best time in the world!”

You’ll have all of TrueFire’s advanced learning tools at your finger tips to personalize your workspace and learn at your own pace. All of the tab and notation is synced to the video lessons. You can loop or slow down any section, and you’ll have all of the backing tracks to work with on your own.

To go much, much deeper with Paul, check out his highly popular Artist Works Rock Guitar course. Paul covers all aspects of playing Rock rhythm and lead guitar for all levels of play. Plus, you’ll have access to the video exchange platform where you can view other students videos or submit your own — Paul responds to all of them!

Grab your guitar, and let’s dig in with Paul Gilbert!

Paul Gilbert literally speaks my language. I've broken through some barriers just in the few lessons I've gotten through so far.

Love It!

Paul is such a patient and concise instructor. He has definitely inspired me to practice with more purpose and enjoy the process as well. As an older guitar player I am getting back to my musicianship having set aside the priority while raising my family. This course is a lot of fun and it feels great to get back to playing guitar

Fun and creative

Paul’s course is amazing. Easy to do chops, but very creative, noisy, engaging and easy to apply to your playing.

Make noise and have a blast

These are great, fun little lessons, each with a handful of things to focus on so you don't get overwhelmed, but make noticeable progress. Paul Gilbert is probably the most succinct, clear, likeable and inspiring teacher I've come across, ever. If you've mastered your cowboy chords are ready to rock, you couldn't do better, though I dare say there's stuff for people of all abilities.
