Joe Robinson is an extremely talented fingerstyle guitarist and a very articulate communicator and teacher, and in this excellent course he covers a wide range of topics (including discussion of his influences, warm-ups for left and right hands and how to practice) as well as breaking down performances of some of his compositions and a 12-Bar Blues. A really useful series of lessons if you are looking to further develop your acoustic fingerstyle finesse.

I'd not tried any of the 'Bootcamp' courses before and was a bit unsure how accessible they'd be for anyone who hadn't been there 'live', but was amazed at just how good this course was. Highly recommended!

Excellent Companion Course for Fingerstyle
I purchased both finger style Boot Camp courses at the same time, and glad I did. While I believe that the Travis picking course can take you from zero to advanced, I believe that this course is geared more to the intermediate player and up. This is all good, as it takes what you have learned in the Travis pickin course and has you playing songs from the start, ranging from the simple to extremely advanced. As with the other Boot Camp courses, there is years worth of material in these hours of lessons. Joe expresses a lot of passion in his teaching as well as his playing. He explains everything in a clear and concise manner and will get you playing the simple songs in a very rapid manner along with giving you something to work up to. As with the other Boot Camp courses, I am finding myself enjoying going through these courses, and I am finding my playing improving in the short weeks that I have owned these courses. Plus, the courses give me the feeling of having attended the Boot Camp sessions, and if I’m finding them this enjoyable, I would probably be finding myself attending the live sessions. I find that I can’t recommend these courses enough. They have been a must have for me.

Just what I needed to further develop my righthand fingers.
I rate this as a hybrid between Muriel Anderson's 123 FingerStyle and David Hamburger's FingerStyle Blues Factory or Steady Bass.
Joe Robinson has a smooth style of instruction with great demonstations. It's awesome for intermediate players who want to develop a fingerstyle ability and perhaps advance players who want to hone more of that skill at level 3 -hence, the Bootcamp in the title.
Joe does give good presentations of playing what can be done w/ type of fingerstyle grooves he teaches. He also makes good use of the time within the Q&A sessions.
