Joe Dalton

When country guitar master Joe Dalton picks up a six-string, everyone listens. A phenomenon that has followed Joe since he was a snot nosed kid in the 5th grade. Having picked up his first instrument at age 5, Dalton should have been considered a musical prodigy if it weren't for the plain fact that he was only one of the latest branches to sprout from a very musical family tree with a legacy that spans decades. His great-grandfather conducted the City of Rome Orchestra in Italy; his grandfather was the leader of the New York Philharmonic; his father is solely responsible for bringing mallets into the U.S. Army Band Corps; his brother teaches at the Boston Conservatory...we could go on, but you get the point, right? Musical prowess runs through his veins; it's the nucleus of his existence.

Excellent Instructor

I’ve read and applied Joe’s lessons over the years from various guitar magazines. I’ve re established my True Fire account and got Fretboard Epiphanies. Began rediscovering and enjoying guitar again. Very good course and as a result making attempts to transcribe the work of pianist / composer Lodovico Einaudi on guitar.

The Best Teacher

I did Joe's Fretboard Epiphanies, because I 'd read that he was such a great teacher. Well, he certainly is... Joe explains the whole 'story' about how you can use triads in such a transparant way that you think: this isn't that difficult , why didn't I figure out this by myself? ? ;-) Joe, thanks! I'll be back!

Amazing experience

During the quarantine period I decided to be productive and learn a new instrument. Luckily I had my old guitar and found Truefire and their YouTube channel! Intially it was a little difficult but the lessons and tutors were so clear, articulate and easy to follow that I eventually progressed! From learning the basics and now reaching an intermediate level with a little songwriting! Looking forward for more lessons, Truefire has been really helpful especially during such tough time!

Great Guitar Player, Great Teacher

I started guitar lessons with Joe a little over a year ago. AT that time I was embarrassed to play and just played in my house. Joe has helped me gain confidence and enjoy playing the guitar. Thanks to Joe I can now play and have the confidence and knowledge to play with others and feel comfortable doing so. Joe is well versed in many areas and I look forward to every one of our lessons!
