Chris Standring About the Educator

Trained classically at the London College of Music, with ten years experience as a freelance session player in London, Chris put his artist career on the international map while recording and/or touring with Bebe & Cece Winans, Jodey Watley, Omar, The Solsonics, Rick Braun, Marc Antoine, Patti Austin, Bob James, Dave Koz, Richard Elliot, Boney James, Siedah Garrett, Peter White, Kirk Whalum and Al Stewart. The cutting edge New York based Instinct Record label signed Chris to an exclusive artist deal in December of 1997. Chris has now launched his own solo recording career with a hit album entitled "Velvet". Cool Shades the radio single from Velvet went top 10 for over 3 months on the Gavin/R&R charts and stayed on the top 30 chart for 25 weeks! Chris' music has appeared on 8 compilation Cd's since his initial 1997 signing.
His brand new album "Hip Sway" is all set to hit record stores nationwide February 2000.
