Watch the Am7: Two Inversions online guitar lesson by Marcy Marxer from Swingin' Uke Handbook

Just like the Em7, the Am7 chord is another bonus hand position because you've already played the chord form as a C6. When we add the A bass note to make it an Am7 chord, the sound is very different.

When you play along with the jam tracks, play one inversion for four beats and switch to the other inversion for four beats. If these changes feel too fast, play one strum every four beats and then switch inversions. Remember to play through each jam track ten times.
