Watch the Amazing Grace online guitar lesson by Tommy Emmanuel from Certified Gems, Vol. 2

Let's do "Amazing Grace" now. Most people know this song, it's a beautiful spiritual song that has a great message and story behind it. I've played this song in just about every key there is to play it in; in every way, shape, and form. I've played it with saxophone players, harmonica players, with choirs and singers, etc. I think Larry Carlton and I played it in G, and when I played it with Doyle Dykes, I believe we played it in F.

I'm going to show it to you in the key that I play it in most often, E, because I like a lot of the open notes that I can get, which I'll show you as we go along. So, I play the first two times around just with my hands, not using a pick until the third time around. So, I just keep it in my mouth until then! Here we go, let's play "Amazing Grace".
