A diad is a two note chord that we can use to create cool licks and phrases. Let's take a look at outlining the chord progression first and also letting certain key notes ring across the changes. I'm going to use triad shapes of F#mi - E - D to create a smaller version of the chord, two notes instead of three. You'll see that by doing this we get a variety of approaches and sounds that give us cool double stop ideas, but also tones that work across the whole progression. Let's check out some ideas.
