Watch the G Minor Triad Inversions & Application online guitar lesson by Rob Garland from Chord Navigator: CAGED Triads

Within the larger C-A-G-E-D shapes, smaller voicings can be found. These are ideal for 2nd guitar parts, introductions, melody and harmony parts, etc. A 1st inversion minor chord has the b3rd in the bass, a 2nd inversion the 5th, and a 3rd inversion the 7th. Once again, don't take my word for it, take some time and look at the notes inside the smaller Gm chord voicings you've just played. Look for that b3rd, in this case the note Bb.
