Watch the C Minor Triad Inversions & Application online guitar lesson by Rob Garland from Chord Navigator: CAGED Triads

Within the larger C-A-G-E-D shapes for minor chords, just as with major, smaller voicings can be found. These are again ideal for 2nd guitar parts, introductions, chord melody parts, (etc). A 1st inversion minor chord has the b3rd in the bass, a 2nd inversion the 5th, and a 3rd inversion the 7th. Don't take my word for it, take some time and look at the notes inside the smaller Cm chord voicings you have just played. I'll also show you some useful voicings with real life musical examples.
