Watch the The CAGED System: C Minor Triads online guitar lesson by Rob Garland from Chord Navigator: CAGED Triads
As we've already seen by moving the open chord shapes for C-A-G-E-D up the neck, the same chord can be played in different positions. A great exercise is to flatten the 3rd of the chord in each of the C-AG-E-D shapes making the major chord minor. The guitar is very visual, so take advantage of this by seeing the b3rd in each position. The G shape when minored has to be played on just the lower strings or as two smaller voicings, unless you have an extra finger or two!
