Watch the B7 Funky Jam Rhythm Guitar online guitar lesson by Frank Vignola from Vamps, Jams and Improv
This B7 jam is all about the funk. We discuss dominant 9 chords going through the different inversions and a variety of rhythmic variations. We get into detail with the muffled one note funk rhythm style. We go over small three and four note inversions of B7 which are used quite frequently in this funky style of playing rhythm guitar.
We touch on suspended chords and start to play the same note on different strings producing different textures using the same note. An A note on the 1st string is going to sound a lot different than the A note on the 3rd string because of the thickness of the string. Enjoy this jam. The band was cookin' on this one!
