Now we'll make this really interesting by adding some chords into the mix. Since that bassline is pretty busy we'll use some simple 1-finger chords again, and fit them into the spaces.
These 3-string bar chords look like minor triads but they are also notes in other chords. So since we're in E, the one that looks like a C# minor at the 9th fret is really an E6, and the one at the 7th that looks like B minor is really an E9. Then I move up to the 11th fret to grab another E9, this time over G#, which makes it a first inversion.
That last E9 has G# on the A string (11th fret), D on the D string (12), F# on the G string (11), and E on the high E (12). I use an up-stroke for the chord stabs.
Make sure you practice those chord stabs slowly before you go on.
