Watch the S.W.A.T. Improvisation online guitar lesson by Carl Verheyen from S.W.A.T Improvisation
When I was a kid, improvising solos on the guitar meant playing pentatonic scales up and down in one key. It worked for tunes like "Spoonful," the Cream version and "Voodoo Chile" by Jimi Hendrix. But as I improved my skills I realized there was a whole world of music out there that didn't stay in one key, but involved playing through changes or various "keys of the moment." In this course my goal is not to turn you into a jazz musician but to get you playing over changes. I believe the modern improvisor should have that ability. As pop and rock music, country music and even the blues have evolved over the years, this skill set has become essential. I think you'll be amazed at how simple it is once you get into it!
