Watch the Standard Tuning Slide: 7 online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from SoloCraft

I have provided you with fingering diagrams for the open position E blues scale. Remember you are placing the slide over the fret wire not in between. I have also added some chromatic passing tones to the scale shape as they sound very musical over our E based blues progression. In particular I added an F# because it completes the E7 sus chord and implies a D chord with an E bass. I explain this in the video and you will hear what I mean from the examples.

Play through the scale over the track and listen to which tones are sweet notes. Start creating some licks of your own resolving to the different chord tones from within the scale.
