Watch the Sweet Notes: 15 online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from SoloCraft
It's your turn to jam with me over the A7 and D7 moving through shapes 3, 4 and 5.
Working in a linear fashion through your scales will sound more fluid and exciting than staying within one box shape. Don't get me wrong, I totally advocate being able to improvise "In Position" I'm just opening some new doors for you. Work on these shapes until you are really satisfied that you are targeting the sweet notes every time. Jam over the track playing licks that start low on the fretboard and work up the neck to pattern 5. You should know that pattern 5 joins up to pattern 1 at the 15th fret too and so on, this is where you make the guitar really sing! Go for it and express yourself!
