Watch the Earl Hooker Style: Standard online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slide Guitar Power

This example begins with a classic blues melody based on E major pentatonic (E F# G# B C#), played while using a wah-wah pedal, and throughout the example I jump back and forth between slide melodies played with the wah engaged, and strummed chordal parts for which the wah is turned off, creating the effect of two guitar parts in one. Comparing these lines with those in the Robert Nighthawk example will reveal the similarities in the sounds and styles of the two slide guitar masters.
