Watch the Keith Richards Style: Open G online guitar lesson by Andy Aledort from Slide Guitar Power

No look at the open G tuning would be complete without the inclusion of Rolling Stones great Keith Richards, who has written dozens of incredible songs with this tuning, so many in fact that the tuning has become synonymous with his name. Along with open tuned songs like "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" and "Honky Tonk Women," Keith often likes to additonally use a capo with the open tuning. Two great examples are "Tumbling Dice" and "Happy," both of which were recorded for the Exile on Main Street album. This next example is played in that style, with the capo positioned at the fourth fret.
