Watch the Hubcap Annie online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from The Rhythm Architect

This guitar part is about as easy as it gets from a notational and fingering standpoint, it's a simple octave guitar line like the Jackson 5 used to employ. These kind of parts really do take up very little space in the mix of things but add so much in the way of character and driving force to the music.

Now, the rhythm of this piece is a little trickier. No? I challenge you to record 'you' playing this part over the track for it's full duration and then listen back to your performance. I'd wager that you'll hear discrepancies that you would want to redo if given the chance. In fact I would advocate you recording everything you do because what happens when we jam is that we get carried away with what we are doing and think we are King of the World. Often though our performance is lacking in one area or another. This is true for beginners through seasoned pros, just know it's part of the journey and the process.
