Watch the The Pocket online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from The Rhythm Architect

The chords in our first guitar part are very full and contain a lot of notes and harmonic complexities, so I went back to the drawing board to design a second part that would build the structure and add a simple uncluttered vibe to the music. You can see I'm outlining the basic chord changes with double stop ideas that are played by sliding in to them and then letting them sustain. These doubles stops are minor 3rds but constitute the 5th and b7 of the chords they are sustained over. Sweet Notes!

The turnaround section needed some extra attention in the creative department because I wanted to outline the descending chords with a double-stop too. Check out the tab and notation for an in-depth study of what I did here and superimpose those choices over the chords in guitar part 1, you'll also be able to figure out what I did by watching the video closely. It will all make perfect sense!
