Watch the Soul Surfer online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from The Rhythm Architect

I have a great acoustic guitar track and rhythm section on which to build absolutely anything I like which means I can stay in the Bad Co. vibe or take this piece somewhere new altogether.

I thought that by playing without the capo and using the electric guitar it would give me the low E string on my first two chords which is nice and it would change the sonic texture of the sounds a little bit. The progression is pretty simple as you know but the use of hammered chord voicings on the E chord and the use of 1st inversion triads with open B and E strings in the tune really changed the feel of the music. This guitar part reminds me of how Hendrix used to play some of his chords. I think you'll dig it but of course if you don't there are so many options you could superimpose on this killer groove. Let me know how you get on!
