Typically, when building tracks, I'll start with an acoustic guitar part and layer on top of that. In this example I decided the track could use some acoustic and percussive flavor after listening to what the two electric guitars were doing in the mix. This is a pretty aggressive acoustic guitar approach and I think it works really well.
The chords may not present any problems for you but articulating the fast strumming pattern might. If so, isolate the rhythmic structure and play it muted until it feels comfortable. Introduce the chords once you have that element under control.
