Watch the The Roadmap: Aeolian online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Power Play: Minor

I've created another backing track that cycles through 4 key changes, 4 times. The progression created is an Aeolian progression, which means the chord progression has a tonal center of the VI minor chord.

Let’s take a look at the chord progression and how to play this cool 2 bar minor vamp.

The 4 keys we’ll be playing our Aeolian progression in are as follows, in order they are C Aeolian (Eb major scale) - D Aeolian (F major scale) - E Aeolian (G major scale) - F# Aeolian (A major scale).

If you need to have reference of scale shapes for each of these keys and modes I’ve provided those for you, and I’ve written them in order for you one position of the four keys per page, use the diagrams only if you really need them or else they will become a crutch you cannot live without.
