Watch the V - IV - I Mixolydian online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Modal Expose

As you can see and hear, my new chord progression is still the I IV V chords A, D and E but I've changed the order and applied them differently to have the progression resolve to the E chord. This progression is now a V - IV - I in the key of E and our tonal center is the V chord. That means that this is an E mixolydian progression.

The groove I played was pretty simple and you can hear that I used the E sus chord to add a bit more interest to the triad progression.

Again, try and add another rhythm guitar part to this as an overdub after learning the first guitar part.
