Watch the IV - V - I Lydian online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Modal Expose
Be totally honest, before embarking on this course how many of you if presented with this chord progression would have thought it was in the key of D? Well, now you know it's in the key of A but has a tonal center of the IV chord D. This can then be defined as a D lydian progression.
This is a very simple progression but does work nicely with the groove. I've intentionally left room for your overdub parts so please feel free to find other rhythm guitar parts that you like with this track. Maybe even present this at a jam session and see what the other guys (gals) come up with too.
