Watch the Transposing Keys online guitar lesson by Robbie Calvo from Modal Expose

You'll be glad to know that all of the information we've covered so far is transposable to every other key. However, we are going to complete this course in one key, A major.

The scale shape, chord shapes, arpeggios and resulting modes that you've learned in position for A major can all move to any other fret position on the guitar and the information and the relationship to each element remains the same. How cool is that? So if you want to work in the key of G, just move everything we've covered down two frets, it's that easy.

Reference your charts when transposing to other keys as they will give you the new note names and their relative pitch.
