Watch the Major Scale online guitar lesson by Brad Carlton from Melodic Patterns
The last set of patterns will be dealing with the major scale. We'll use the C Major scale, form 7 in 7th position. You will learn how to play these patterns and analyze them. I'll also show you some alternate fingerings and we'll even develop them into some rhythmic patterns.
Major Scale Example 1 is the C major scale from VII out of which we will play various melodic patterns. Make sure that you know the names of the notes as well as the corresponding scale degrees (numbers). Example: C is 1, D is 2, E is 3, and so on.
